The apparel industry has to go through a Pre-production sampling process of every individual order number and style to get to bulk production; pre-production sampling, PP meeting, and approval process are part of that. These are the Pre-production sampling process to prove to customers that the factory is capable to run a bulk order.
Planning and Implementing
Though there is a planning department in the apparel industry, the production team has to coordinate and implement plans to get production results. The production department is the driver of productivity, they have their own plan being process owner of production.

Order Closing
Order closing is the production completion of an order. The main task is to close exiting PO which means shipping out to customer order by order. The closing is the last step of production which starts with the packing list. A packing list is completed means the goods packing are completed.
