ChiuVention, a pioneer in AI, automation and IoT-enabled textile testing technology, has strengthened its presence in Bangladesh. The company hosted a technical seminar organized by the leading European fashion brand BESTSELLER and introduced a range of advanced automated textile testing machines to the country’s textile and apparel industry.
Md. Shariful Islam, CEO of SN Apparels and ChiuVention’s sole agent in Bangladesh, hosted the technical seminar. More than 100 testing professionals, quality control specialists and industry representatives from leading textile factories and testing organizations across the country attended.
The event centered on how advanced testing technologies improve textile quality, raise production efficiency and support compliance with international standards. As Bangladesh competes in the global apparel market, manufacturers increasingly look for textile testing solutions that deliver accurate, repeatable and faster results.

“Test Smart Now”: BESTSELLER’s Sourcing Manager Tom on Smarter Textile Testing
BESTSELLER’s Global Quality Team joined the conference, with members traveling in from Turkey, India, Cambodia, Denmark and Bangladesh.
BESTSELLER Global Sourcing Manager Mr. Tom also attended. He explained that conventional laboratory instruments, whether European, American or Chinese, typically do not capture and trace testing and R&D data in full.
As a brand, BESTSELLER wants every data point recorded across its supply chain, and it wants to assure quality through smart, IoT-enabled, automated and AI-based instruments. According to Mr. Tom, ChiuVention emerged as the pioneer in this area and shared the same vision. After visiting the company and inspecting its instruments, he saw that they capture all data in real time and connect to ERP systems, so every result can be recorded with ease. He also praised the build quality of the machines. For these reasons, BESTSELLER organized the Global Laboratory Conference and invited its global team and all of its Bangladesh suppliers to see ChiuVention’s instruments and features first-hand.
Why Modern Testing Technology Matters for Bangladesh’s Future Growth
Addressing the audience, Md. Shariful Islam stressed that modern testing technology will underpin the industry’s next stage of growth. “Bangladesh has built a strong position in the global textile and apparel industry, but maintaining that position requires continuous improvement in quality, technology, and testing capabilities. Our objective is to bring advanced and reliable testing solutions closer to the manufacturers so that they can improve accuracy, reduce testing time, and meet the evolving requirements of international buyers.”
He added that automation matters more and more as textile manufacturers are pushed to raise productivity without compromising consistent quality. “Testing should not be viewed simply as the final checkpoint of production. It is an important part of the entire quality management system. With smart and automated equipment, manufacturers can generate more reliable data, minimize human error, and make faster decisions.”
Technical Insights from ChiuVention President Forrest Chiu
Forrest Chiu, President of ChiuVention, presented the company’s latest textile testing technologies and then took part in an interactive Q&A session with industry professionals.
Explaining ChiuVention’s approach to the Bangladesh market, Forrest Chiu said: “We are excited to support Bangladesh’s textile industry with smart, automated testing solutions that enhance efficiency and reliability. Bangladesh is an important textile and apparel manufacturing hub, and we believe advanced testing technology can contribute significantly to its continued development.”
He also underlined that advanced equipment must come with practical technical support. “Technology delivers the greatest value when users understand how to operate it effectively and interpret the results correctly. We therefore want to support our customers not only with machines, but also with training, technical knowledge and long-term service.”
ChiuVention has also become the world’s first company registered on a Digital Product Passport (DPP) platform for DPP regulations, a milestone for traceable, compliant textile supply chains.
Live Demonstration of Automated Textile Testing Machines
The live demonstration was a highlight of the seminar. Participants watched the machines run and saw their precision, speed and repeatability for themselves. ChiuVention presented several automated testing solutions built around key textile performance and quality requirements.
The SmartShrink Shrinkage Rate Tester measures fabric shrinkage and twist rates after washing, steaming and dry-cleaning in just 5 seconds. It helps manufacturers evaluate dimensional stability and keep finished products consistent.
The Smartindale Martindale Abrasion & Pilling Tester evaluates fabric resistance to abrasion and pilling, two properties that are critical for judging a textile’s durability and appearance retention in use. Its Lissajous-motion testing action drew particular interest from attendees.
The AirFicient Air Permeability Tester measures airflow through fabrics, giving manufacturers key data on fabric performance and suitability for different end-use applications.
The HydroBurst Bursting Strength Tester evaluates the strength of textile materials under pressure, helping manufacturers assess durability and performance.
ChiuVention says these automated solutions raise testing productivity, reduce human error and deliver more consistent results, while supporting international testing standards such as ISO, ASTM and AATCC.
Strengthening Bangladesh’s Textile Quality Ambitions
International buyers now expect greater consistency, durability, safety and regulatory compliance, so reliable laboratory testing matters more than ever for Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector. Automated testing technologies help manufacturers rely less on manual processes, improve repeatability and shorten testing cycles. Faster, more efficient testing also lets quality teams spot potential problems early, lowering the risk that defects reach later stages of production.
Md. Shariful Islam added that Bangladesh’s next phase of growth will depend on technology-driven quality management. “Bangladesh has already demonstrated its manufacturing capability to the world. The next challenge is to strengthen our technological and testing capabilities. By adopting smart testing systems, our factories can improve efficiency, strengthen quality assurance and build greater confidence among global buyers.”
Expanding Technical Support and Training in Bangladesh
ChiuVention plans to deepen its presence in Bangladesh through technical training, after-sales support and customized solutions for local textile manufacturers. Working with its local sole agent, SN Apparels, the company aims to give manufacturers easier access to advanced testing equipment, technical expertise and dependable support.
The seminar showed the industry’s rising interest in automation and smart quality control. As Bangladeshi textile and apparel manufacturers move toward higher-value products, greater efficiency and stricter international compliance, advanced testing systems are set to become a core part of the sector’s technology landscape.
ChiuVention’s entry and expansion in Bangladesh therefore arrives at an important moment. It gives manufacturers new tools to strengthen quality assurance and supports the country’s ambition to stay competitive in the global textile and apparel industry.
The BESTSELLER Global Team and its suppliers, including Intertek, BV, SGS, TUV, Hohenstein and GMS Testing Laboratories, were all present at the conference.
