Fabric can joinined many processes. Sewing is the most common way or process joining two or more fabrics togther. Others alternative processes are joining by heat and pressure, adhesive joining or by melting polymeric materials within the fabrics. Sewing
Sewing or stitching is the making of cloth, leather, furs, bark, or other flexible materials, using needle and thread. It is used primarily to produce clothing and household furnishings such as curtains, bedclothes, upholstery, and table linens. Sewing is also used for sails, bellows, skin boats, banners, and other items shaped out of flexible materials such as canvas and leather.
Alternative Method of Joining
The method /system/process which have been developed as alternative to sewing are known as alternative method of Fabric joining. There are fusing, heat pressing, welding & adhesive, moulding.
Comparison Between Sewing and Alternative Method of Fabric Joining:
